Constantly committed to unearthing fresh talent in the house and techno scene, Deepology presents an EP from Henri Michael. This emergent producer has already been spotted working alongside Antti Rasi on the Moonshot 003 compilation on Baikonur, and now steps forward to present a full EP of dynamic, expressive electronics that positively overflow with personality for the deepest corner of the night. Michael has led an interesting life, from his early years growing up in Africa to now being based in Helsinki and providing a vital service as a constantly gigging resident in the city’s house and techno scene. On the Tanz Mit Mir EP he shows off his instinct for ear-catching production as detailed layers of synths flirt with fragments of sampled sound in an immersive, engaging style. Whether the dubby “Sam, Let’s Get Drunk!” or the more emotive “Sam, Play It Again!”, this is an artist with a distinct personality making a powerful artistic statement in a scene where so many sound the same
